Pistachios, when eaten with high-carbohydrate foods, may result in lower than expected blood sugar levels, an important factor in reducing risk of diabetes.
3 tablespoons Butter or margarine
2 tablespoons Dry onion soup mix
1 cup Natural American pistachios
2 quarts Popped popcorn
Place butter and onion soup mix in 4-cup glass measure. Cook on HIGH in microwave for 1-1/2 minutes. Stir in pistachios. Place popcorn in large bowl. Toss lightly with butter-pistachio mixture. Serve warm.
