    Becci Twombley has been the Director of Sports Nutrition at USC since 2012. Becci leads a team of 3 sports registered dietitians (RDs) that coach nutrition to the 650 athletes that make up the Trojan Family. The sports nutrition department at USC has gained nationwide recognition due to priority that the athletic department has placed on fueling athletes to optimize recovery. USC’s cutting edge fueling has expanded over the last 3 years to become one of a few Universities that are able to feed all of their athletes regardless of sport or scholarship status. Becci also serves as the sports nutrition consultant to the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim. Prior to working at USC, Becci was the Director of Sports Nutrition at UCLA and consultant to the Los Angeles Sparks. Becci earned her degree from Pepperdine University where she played volleyball and attended graduate school at Cal Poly Pomona.

In 2009, Becci became one of five founding Board Members of the Collegiate and Professional Sports Dietitians Association (CPSDA), an organization created to serve as the expert voice in sports nutrition. Becci is also a member of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics , as well as the Sports and Cardiovascular Nutritionists (SCAN), a practice group of AND. She has been a Registered Dietitian since 2003 and a Board Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics since 2008. Becci is a member of the American College of Sports Medicine.

Becci believes nutrition is an essential part of training, therefore tailors diets to meet the individual needs of her athletes based on their role on the team, position, goals and time of season. Her mission is to fuel every cell in the athletes’ body so that training is more efficient, career longevity is maximized, and performance is optimized.

Becci is married to Dennis Twombley and they have three enchanting children, Piper, Tobi and Tucker. They reside in Redondo Beach, CA and enjoy a life of great fueling and high energy.
