Interview Cheryl and Monte

Cheryl Forberg, RD, the chef and nutritionist for NBC’s “The Biggest Loser,” is going to be at the International Food Blogger Conference’s Culinary Fair and Expo, Friday, July 29, from 5-7 pm. We want to see if you’re interested in interviewing her. As one of the leading advisors on health and nutrition, Cheryl has helped hundreds of people lose thousands of pounds over the last 17 seasons on the show. In addition, she’s written a dozen books on healthy eating and is a James Beard Award-winning chef.

The biggest question anyone who’s made the decision to lose weight has is: How do I start? It’s no wonder with so much information available online, dozens of diet plans popping up every few months, not to mention well-intentioned advice from those we know. Cheryl has identified that key first step, and she can share it with your viewers, as well as the key triggers for weight gain and tricks to weight loss. Watch a segment below she did for the NBC affiliate in San Diego, CA recently so you can see her in action.

Accompanying her is Monte Morris, an average guy who lost 48 pounds (see Before and After photos below). Monte can share how he went from being unhealthy to becoming a self-proclaimed health nut. Viewers may well relate to Monte, who made the decision to make changes in his eating habits when his doctor advised him to revise his diet and get moving. With a toddler who depended on him, he took the advice and now is a self-proclaimed “health nut.”

For the interview, Cheryl and Monte can:
- give a colorful, visual description of the crucial first step
- discuss the healthy habits that can change your life (nutrition food swaps pistachios)
- shed light on the mind / body connection that leads many to succeed, and just as many to fail.

It will be an informative and enlightening piece for your viewers. And timely, too, as Cheryl’s latest book, A Small Guide to Losing Big, was just released. Let me know what you think.

Thank you for your consideration.
Best regards,
