APG collaborated with the USA Poultry and Egg Export Council (USAPEEC) in Japan and hosted a
bakery seminar for 100 bakers and pastry chefs. Renowned baker and dessert chef Jiro Fujimori of
"Bigot Tokyo Bakery," demonstrated recipes using American pistachios. His creations included
Gateau des rois orange pistache (bread with orange peel and pistachios), Brioche Mousseline
(bread preserved in tea flavor syrup topped with pistachios) and maple scones with pistachios.
Chef Fujimori, the pioneer of French bread in Japan, is one of the country's most famous bakery
chefs. He has published many books on baking and has five stores in Tokyo and Kanagawa regions.
