Attacker

Silver was new to the Senior National Team in 2009, and is a high scoring attacker with great leadership qualities. She was the leading scorer for Team USA at the 2010 FINA World Cup scoring 11 goals. Silver played collegiately at Stanford University earning All-American status in 2006-2008, All-MPSF 2006-2009, won an MPSF Championship in 2006, and was named Newcomer of the Year in 2006. Silver was a sociology major and is contemplating a career as a lawyer. Her mother, Kathy, swam on the 1976 United States Olympic team, was a World Champion, and an American record-holder. She works with BAWSI Girls, an after school program that meets once a week and teaches the values of sports and athletics to underprivileged girls who otherwise wouldn't have a chance to learn these lessons.
